Capstan and Chain on order

Posted by: TBurnett    in Building Tesha

Brian ordered the Capstan and 400′ (a barrel) of 3/8 ht chain. The capstan should be here in 2-3 weeks. I’m guessing the chain will arrive around the same time.

Amy and I glued the upper planks on the dingy this weekend. I also put on the forward locker top and have cleaned up the center seat. While Tesha is moving slow, the dingy is humming along.

Pennant!

Posted by: TBurnett    in Building Tesha

A long time co-worker (ASF and now Zebra) and friend bought us a 8′ swallow tail pennant for Tesha. Thank you James. I can’t wait to take you sailing!! I love the colors and the nautical stars!!

The weather finally turned!!! Amy and I hung two (the last two) planks on the dingy. We’ll have to take them off to glue them on, but they fit nicely and I feel like I understand how to plank a dingy. I also got the forward locker painted so that seat is ready to glue down.

Talked to Brian at YachtSmith, we are going to order the Maxwell V2200 and some chain.

No Tesha news again this week

Posted by: TBurnett    in Building Tesha

Don’t have any news to report this week on Tesha. I am planning a trip out there in May.

Been working on the upper planks for the dingy. Got one shaped and the other gluing up. Couple of more hours and they’ll be ready to hang.

Slow week

Posted by: TBurnett    in Building Tesha

Another slow week. Brian have been chatting about the Maxwell VW2200 as an alternative to the Lewmar C4. He is checking on pricing. Amy and I worked on the dingy seats a little and finished painting the aft locker. Next, glue the aft seat down.

We’ve been trying to get out sailing here and there, between the rain and cold. Here is Capt’n Henry.
